MotiMore - Learning, differently!
MotiMore is a software designed for educational environments, from elementary school to university, that supports the reinforcement of students’ motivation through gamified assessment methods. We believe that traditional evaluation methods are becoming less effective in motivating students and supporting the development of 21st-century skills. By using the system, teachers have the opportunity to develop students’ skills beyond factual knowledge, such as time management, self-directed learning, collaboration, critical thinking and responsibility.

Mark the Study Period!
In the MotiMore system, use the Study Period planner to mark a period during which students can complete their tasks. The Study Periods typically last for 3-4 weeks and they cover a specific topic or learning unit.
Define the learning objectives!
When planning a Study Period, the most important aspect is defining the learning outcomes. Ask yourself: What do we want to achieve by the end of the Study Period? Determine the objectives and plan tasks and activities accordingly for the students.
Plan the Study Period: determine the levels, organize the activities, and assign points to them!
At the end of a Study Period, students will receive grades based on the points they have earned. The point threshold required to achieve a certain grade is referred to as a level. Determine the number of points students need to accumulate within the session to reach each level and earn their grades. Offer multiple tasks, activities, and challenges to students during the learning session. Assign points to the offered activities and tasks. Ensure that every student has opportunities to participate. Explore various possibilities to engage students’ interest in the topic.
Score, track progress together with students and advance development!
In the system, you can easily and simply award points to students, both individually and as a group. With just a few clicks, you can assign predefined activities and their corresponding point values to your group, even during breaks or between your classes. The gamified system includes an important element: the group leaderboard, which visually displays students’ progress (as houses building up) as they learn and accumulate knowledge. Track progress together and celebrate advancements and achievements!

Pay attention to these! Some advice!
Help students understand and navigate the system. Be patient at the beginning and explain multiple times how the gamified assessment system works.
Assist parents too in understanding by writing them an informative email about the changes.
Ensure that the total value of the tasks and activities defined within the Study Period is at least 150% of the period’s requirement. If reaching the highest level (which might be the highest grade) requires 1700 points, plan for a total of 2550 achievable points. This way, students will have real choices among the tasks.
Monitor your group and make adjustments to tasks and activities along the way. Be flexible and patient at the beginning, both with your students and with yourself.
Request feedback from students as you can learn a lot from their insights on what works within a group and where it may be necessary to rethink the process. Collaboratively shape the system together!
If you get stuck or have any questions or feedback, please write to us using the feedback interface within the system. We are here to assist you!
