Empowering Financial Literacy Through Play: Our New Erasmus+ KA2 Project

In 2024, we embarked on an exciting journey to develop a financial literacy game as part of an Erasmus+ KA2 project in collaboration with Impact Games and Tím Mladý podnikavec. Recognizing the importance of financial education in today’s world, our goal is to create an engaging and accessible learning experience that helps young people navigate real-life financial decisions with confidence.

Why Financial Literacy?

Financial literacy is a fundamental skill that empowers individuals to make informed financial choices, yet traditional education often lacks interactive and practical approaches to teaching it. By developing a game-based, table-top learning tool, we aim to provide an innovative and hands-on way for students and young adults to develop essential financial skills, from budgeting to responsible spending and long-term planning.

A Collaborative Effort for Meaningful Impact

Experts from various fields are collaborating in this project to create a modern, practice-oriented learning tool. At the intersection of game development, contemporary pedagogy, and financial literacy education, partners with proven track records in their respective domains are working together. Impact Games (SK), a recognized developer of educational games with social impact; Tím Mladý podnikavec (SK), specialized in supporting young entrepreneurs; and MotiMore, a pioneering digital platform for gamified learning – or at least we would like to believe that 🙂 —all contribute to ensuring that the outcome of the project is a learning solution that is responsive to real needs, engaging, and effective.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to develop and refine the game, we are engaging with educators, students, and experts to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. The project reflects our commitment to innovative education, inclusivity, and practical skill-building, all within the framework of Erasmus+ priorities.

Stay tuned as we move forward with testing and implementation, bringing financial literacy to life in a way that is both fun and impactful! 🚀🎲💡
